Project #114 – Hall Table
Initially this “Hall Table” was designed for wheelchair accessibility with only a single leg and steel “ballast”. We have modified the plan to include two legs. The project assumes a top consisting of some sort of filler ranging in thicknesses from 1/8″ to 3/4″ then covered by a clear, thick two-part epoxy finish. We just completed a similar table where the student used wine bottle corks. We also show an optional shelf with slots for cell phones, iPads, mail, …. The top built using an outer rim with a 1/4″ dado. Inserted into the dado is a sheet of 1/4″ plywood and then glued. The Project, as always, is “knock-down” via our patented Threaded Tenon Joinery™.
